Victoria Shaw

Back to the album index

Victoria is much underrated as a singer, but widely recognised as one of Nashville's most talented songwriters, having been responsible for several hits by Garth Brooks, John Michael Montgomery, and Boyzone, to name just a few. She made her first trip to London to open for Travis Tritt and Confederate Railroad, in 1996, and returned to support Don Williams a year later.

She came back in 1999 to play the London Palladium with Mark Chesnutt, and we recorded an extensive interview which was heard, over two weeks, as a 2-hour special, on my Red Hot & Country show on Wave 105.2FM.

This photo was taken as her husband Robert held their new-born daughter, Ruby Cambridge.
